These are the flowers of the High Bush Cranberry, also called American Cranberry. In late summer the cranberries will ripen. I usually leave them for the birds to feast on.

First time Owen sat in his highchair at my house. He's such a funny little guy. He's five and a half months old on this picture.

The blooms look white but actually they are pink. I can't remember the name of this plant...anybody have any suggestions. It hasn't rained today so far but a few minutes ago my son called and said we are expecting a severe storm with up to two inches of rain per hour. The water table is at the maximum and I'm hopeful the sump pump keeps working and the basement doesn't flood. I use the basement for storage.

I took this picture today of my Honey Suckle Vine. It has a very nice scent and attracts bees and butterflies. It was sunny and in the mid 70's today...no rain for a change of pace.
No gardening got done today. Rained all day and was cold and windy. It got down to the low 50's today. I made some rhubarb jam and a rhubarb torte with my rhubarb. Both turned out really good. Let me know if you want the recipe for either.

I made a raised bed with all animal names for the flowers such as Lamb's Ear, Lion's Tail, Snap Dragon, and I call it My Petting Zoo Garden. The plants are really small because I needed so many. It will be fun to watch them grow and bloom. Some are annuals and some are perennials. This is a picture of a few flowers, the flowerpot markers I made and a garden structure decoration.

Baby Owen asleep with his cat pal Anakin. These two seem to be getting along quite well. Anakin seems to think of herself as Owens Mom. Anakin makes little meowing crying noises each time Owen goes home. Owen is such a blessing from heaven, what a sweet child.

Here is the Weigela Shrub coming into full bloom. I noticed it today while I was outside working in the gardens. It was a humid day and got up into the low 90's. A cold wave is coming though and the temperature is supposed to drop at least 20 degrees.

This is the Clematis in bloom today. There has been so much rain but the sun finally came out and caused the blossoms to open.
Finally getting some sun up here in Wisconsin so will be spending more time outside. We've had more than enough rain for a while. My name is Janice and I have a four month old grandson, Owen. We'll be traveling through this summer together and you're welcome to travel along...
