It looks like the ice might be thinning out a little on the Fox River in preparation for the Spring thaw. Taken from the Bellin building, looking West. Here's Owen again practicing his cool moves at Perkins park with his new hockey stick and puck. He has boots on cause we made a last minute stop at the park after shopping.
Hali has discovered my satchel (purse) with all the fun stuff to play with.
We're expecting snow again tomorrow. I guess it will then beat the record for the most snow which is about seven and a half feet.

Fun in the sun

I took Owen skating for the first time in his life yesterday. Owen is four and had a wonderful time. There was another boy there his age with his grandpa and they let Owen use a hockey stick. He zoomed across the ice having a wonderful time. After a while we changed to his boots and he played in the snow for another half hour or so. After we stopped for ice cream and he talked and talked about how much fun he had skating. He decided he wants to learn to play hockey.

A little gardening

Did some gardening today but still to early to plant the plants as we still have a chance of frost. Today the temp was 89 degrees without much humidity and real windy and sunny so quite pleasant to be outside. Storm is coming tonight so had to close the windows, etc.

Was doing some yard work today and discovered this Robin's nest among the evergreens.

I guess I haven't added an entry since the last flower of fall...so here is the first flower of Spring. As the snow melted this little blue Pansy stuck it's flower in the air. I have another blog that I write in more often, not sure why, it's located here http://journals.aol.com/jamcs605/OnceandAgain/  Posted by Picasa
